Hyperion And The 12 Titans

Hyperion was one of the twelve Titan gods of ancient Greek mythology. He was the Titan god of light, and was often associated with the sun. Hyperion was the father of the sun god Helios, the moon goddess Selene, and the dawn goddess Eos. His name means “watcher from above” or “he who goes above” in Greek. Hyperion played a prominent role in the Titanomachy, the ten-year war between the Titans and the Olympian gods, which ultimately led to the Olympians’ victory and the Titans’ imprisonment in Tartarus.
