Adrammelech was a pagan deity mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. The name Adrammelech is believed to be a combination of two words: “Adar,” which means “fire” in Assyrian, and “melech,” which means “king” in Hebrew. In ancient times, Adrammelech was worshiped by the people of Sepharvaim, who practiced various forms of idolatry, including human sacrifice.
Although there are historical accounts and ancient texts that mention human sacrifice in relation to Adrammelech, it is important to note that these practices are considered abhorrent and are not condoned by any reputable modern religious or ethical system.
The Christian faith, for example, teaches love, compassion, and the sanctity of human life.
